Grenache Tasting Notes

Originally from Spain and adopted by the French it can be a red, rose, or white wine. The more popular red
wine has characteristics of strawberry, plums, and leather. Food pairings include grilled, stewed, and roasted meats, and lesser spiced Asian foods.

Celebrate International Grenache Day on the 3rd Friday of every September!

Origin region is in Aragon of Northern Spain, under the Apanish synonym “Garnacha”.

Colour mutation vines have resulted in berries of different colours.

Given the long growing season required to ripen Grenache, this varietal typically yields higher alcohol levels.
